The order you apply the adjustments does make a difference because the percents that are applied will be applied to different amount.

For example, 80% of 100 = $80.  The price would be $180.

Decreasing this by 25% 25% of 180 = $45; 180-45 = $135.

25% of 100 is not the same as 25% of 180.

HELPP
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, lets get started.

Lets find slope for both bikes one by one

For bike 1 :

There are two points on the graph of Bike 1, these two points are (2,3) and (4,6)

So the slope for bike 1 is : \frac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1} }

So the slope for bike 1 is : \frac{6-3}{4-2}

So the slope for bike 1 is : \frac{3}{2}

For bike 2 :

There are two points on the graph of Bike 2, these two points are (4,5) and (8,10)

So the slope for bike 2 is : \frac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1} }

So the slope for bike 2 is : \frac{10-5}{8-4}=\frac{5}{4}

Hence Bike 1 will win the race as slope of line bike1 is greater than slope of line bike 2.  So, answer is option D

Steve, 18 years old, is three times as old as his brother Daniel. How old will Steve be when he will be twice as old as Daniel?
gtnhenbr [62]
18 ÷ 3 is 6, which means that Daniel is 6, and there is a 12 year gap between Steve and Daniel.

12 x 2 is 24, so therefore when Steve is 24, Daniel will be 12, so Steve is twice as old as Daniel:)

Sue's average score for three bowling games was 162. In the second game, Sue scored 10 less than in the first game. In the third
natali 33 [55]

Answer:

Her score in the first game was 173.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sue's total score for the 3 games = 3*162 = 486 points.

Let her score in the first game be x points. Then in the second game she scored (x - 10)  and in the third, ( x - 10 - 13) points:

x + (x - 10) + (x - 23) = 486

3x - 33 = 486

3x = 519

x = 173 (answer).
