X would be 72, because 72/6 is 12, then 12-2 is 10

What your trying to do is find the value of x.....so first you would add 2 to both sides.....
                     x/6-2=10
                          +2 +2
                        x/6=12

So that you get x/6=12.Next u would need to multiply both sides by 6....

                   x/6=12
                     *6  *6
                   x=72
Which would give you your answer x=72.
Hope this helps! And if you need anything else just ask! :)

A pop singer sells her albums on CDs and by digital downloads. The equations below describe the relationship between x, the numb
Katena32 [7]

The equation that can be used to represent the number of albums at which the profit would be equal for the two methods of selling her album is -0.03x² + 4x + 6000 = 0

How to solve equations in the form of no quadratic

  • x = the number of albums sold
  • y = the profit in dollars,

Method 1, y = -0.05x² + 12x - 8000

Method 2, y = -0.02x² + 8x - 2000

  • Equation both equations

-0.05x²2 + 12x - 8000 = -0.02x²2 + 8x - 2000

- 0.05x² + 0.02x² + 12x - 8x - 8000 + 2000 = 0

-0.03x² + 4x - 6000 = 0

where,

a = -0.03

b = 4

c = -600

Jenny peddled her bike 30 miles in 40 minutes. If she traveled at the same speed, how far would she travel in 3 hours?
mart [117]

Answer:

Jenny cycles the grand distance of 29 and one third of a mile.

Step-by-step explanation:

I want to answer this using fractions and without multiplying by an awkward recurring decimal.

Cycling 11 miles in 45 minutes and continuing at the same speed means she will go 22 miles in 90 minutes

To scale up 90 mins to the required 120 mins (2 hours) multiply by 4/3.

22 x (4/3) = 88/3

Jenny will travel 88/3 miles in 2 hours.

Not happy with top heavy fractions?

Let's round up 88/3 to 90/3 by adding 2/3.

90/3 = 30 and to get back to the answer we just take away the two thirds we added when rounding up.

Jenny cycles the grand distance of 29 and one third of a mile.

I think that is the correct answer.

Why does paying off the highest interest rate credit card first make the most mathematical sense?
Snowcat [4.5K]
Because you’re paying interest first so the faster you pay off the interest the faster you get to the principal and pay the actual debt off
