Hello!

Since there are five short-answer questions and she randomly selects one for a quiz, this can be written as 1/5 because there are 5 choices, but only one can be selected.

Therefore, the probability that she will select question #3 is a 1/5 or 0.2 chance.

What is the l and w of a rectangular field of 40 ft perimeter?
shusha [124]
The perimeter doesn't tell you the dimensions.

With a 40-ft perimeter, there an infinite number of possibilities
for the length and with. The only thing we know for sure is that
the sum of (length + width) is 20-ft.

The field could be . . .

1' by 40'
2' by 20'
3' by 13-1/3 '
4' by 10'
5' by 8'
6' by 6-2/3 '

Plz help.
find the solution for:
9-3 | x-2 | = 4
will give brainliest.
meriva

answer:

x=1/3

x=11/3

STEP 1:

Rearrange this Absolute Value Equation

Absolute value equalitiy entered

-3|x-2|+9 = 4

Another term is moved / added to the right hand side.

To make the absolute value term positive, both sides are multiplied by (-1).

3|x-2| = 5

STEP 2:

Clear the Absolute Value Bars

Clear the absolute-value bars by splitting the equation into its two cases, one for the Positive case and the other for the Negative case.

The Absolute Value term is 3|x-2|

For the Negative case we'll use -3(x-2)

For the Positive case we'll use 3(x-2)

STEP 3:

Solve the Negative Case

-3(x-2) = 5

Multiply

-3x+6 = 5

Rearrange and Add up

-3x = -1

Divide both sides by 3

-x = -(1/3)

Multiply both sides by(-1)

x = (1/3)

Which is the solution for the Negative Case

STEP 4:

Solve the Positive Case

3(x-2) = 5

Multiply

3x-6 = 5

Rearrange and Add up

3x = 11

Divide both sides by 3

x = (11/3)

Which is the solution for the Positive Case

giving us x=1/3 or x=11/3

allso if u can i need help with a thing so plese help, i would aprestiate it
