Because 3/6 equals 1/2 and 2/9 equals 1/3

3/6 simplified is 1/2. To compare the fractions, you multiply the fractions to get the least common multiple, which in this case is 18 (2 x 9 is 18.) I would multiply 1/2 times 9, which would be 9/18. I would then multiply 2/9 by 2 to get the bottom number to 18, which would be 4/18. You can see that 4/18 and 9/18 are not the same. This is why they are not equivalent.

For the diagram below figure b is a reflection of y=2x of the line y =x
Scilla [17]
The equation of the line would be y = (1/2)x.

To find the equation of a line that is reflected through the line y = x, we just switch the x and y. Then, solve for y.

y = 2x
x = 2y
0.5x = y

The number of bats in a colony is growing exponentially. After 1 year, there were 70 bats. After 4 years, there were 560 bats. I
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

23040 bats

Step-by-step explanation:

Let N(t) be the number of bats at time

We know that exponential function

y = ab

According to question

N(t) = ab^{2}

Where t (in years)

Substitute t=2 and N(2)=180

180 = ab^{2}

Substitute t=5 and N(5)=1440

1440 = ab^{5}

Equation (1) divided by equation (2)

\frac{180}{1440} = \frac{ab^{2} }{ab^{5}} = \frac{1}{b\frac{5-2}{}}

By using the property

Substitute the values of b in equation (1)

Substitute t=9

Hence, after 9 years the expected bats in the colony=23040 bats

Can someone help me figure out the answer?
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

y = -2x +15

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form of the equation for a line through (h, k) with slope m is ...

... y - k = m(x - h)

For your point (h, k) = (5, 5) and slope m = -2, the equation in point-slope form is ...

... y - 5 = -2(x - 5)

Simplifying, we get

... y - 5 = -2x +10

Adding 5 puts the equation into slope-intercept form, as you want.

... y = -2x +15
