Answer: The answer is A: The Inferior Colliculus

Explanation:

The inferior Colliculi play a major role in hearing. Since the loud noise was what prompted the response it is safe to say the inferior Colliculi is responsible.

Neurons in the inferior Colliculi respond to cues such as intensity, the difference red in arrival of sound to both ears.

However, the head snaps up because the information from the inferior Colliculi is transmitted to the superior Colliculi which is involved with movement such as the head.

Phytoplankton are so tiny you need a microscope to see them. How do they affect the global carbon cycle?
Ksju [112]

Answer:

Phytoplanktons are microscopic creatures that are primary producers of oceans. Phytoplanktons take carbon dioxide from atmosphere to make their food and then they are eaten by some other animals of oceans.

Phytoplanktons are present in huge numbers in oceans and have a great contribution to the carbon cycle because it is responsible for the transfer of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to the oceans.

Most of the carbon is released through combustion by animals that eat phytoplanktons but some accumulate in the ocean floor because some dead phytoplanktons settles down in the ocean.

How is fur helpful for organisms living in cold environments?
garri49 [273]
Fur has a thick layer of protection to help protect..say a bear in this case. A polar bear's fur is helpful in the cold, to prevent the bear from freezing to death.

But since a polar bear eats fish and things that it's used to in Antarctica, it probably won't adapt as easily.

I hope I helped!
