The answer to the question above is letter C. Flagella. As said it is a tail-like appendage that protrudes from the body of the cells. The word flagella comes from the word "flagellum" which means whip. Typically, cilia also helps in the locomotives of the cell but it is the flagella that is appears as a tail.

Drupady [299]

Answer & explanation:

Fungi have long been regarded as organisms that were part of the Plantae kingdom (plants), mainly because they have cell walls in their cells, reproduce by spores, and the fact that some of them are sessile (attached to the ground).

However, fungi are no longer considered as plants because they do not have chlorophyll or specialized cells, such as chloroplasts and vacuoles. In addition, fungi have heterotrophic nutrition (plants are autotrophic), needing to absorb organic substances to survive.

Nowadays, fungi are studied in isolation and are inserted in their own kingdom, the Fungi kingdom.

Hormones are produced by the hypothalamus and transported to the _______ pituitary to be released.
likoan [24]

Answer: b. anterior.

Explanation:

Hypothalamic releasing and inhibiting hormones control the release of other hormones from the pituitary gland and they are secreted by neurons. They enter the anterior pituitary through blood vessels and to do this, there is a bridge of capillaries that connects the hypothalamus, which is a part of the brain, to the anterior pituitary gland and it is called the hypophyseal portal system. This system allows the hypothalamic hormones to be transported to the anterior pituitary without entering the systemic circulation.

So, the secretion of the hormones from the pituitary gland is regulated by releasing and inhibiting hormones from the hypothalamus. The six hormones produced by the anterior pituitary gland are:

 1. luteinizing hormone (LH)
 2. follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
 3. thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH)
 4. adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)
 5. prolactin (PRL)
 6. growth hormone (GH)
