Detailed instructions are one style of informative writing. Listen to the audio and follow the instructions. Enter a description

or image of the product you create from following the directions. Try to see if you can complete the steps as you listen. You will need a sheet of notebook or printer paper to complete this question.
Step 1: Take a sheet of paper and add a design.
Step 2: Start with pattern side up and vertically in half.
Step 3: Open sheet of paper with pattern facing out. Fold left side vertically to center fold and right side to center fold. Your paper should NOT be in vertical quarters.
Step 4: Looking at the paper vertically and plain side up, fold the quarter on the left in half again. Repeat on the right. You will still have four vertical sections, but the section on the right and left will be smaller than the center.
Step 5: Place paper pattern side down. Fold left corner closest to you to the last fold line on the right, and then fold the right bottom corner up closest to you and tuck under the left corner. Tuck the pointed corner up.
Step 6: Rotate the sheet, repeat on the other edge.
Step 7: Pull the folded sides so they can stand at a 90 degree angle.
Step 8: Your end shape will have a flat section and four sides at 90 degree angles.

Consider the last two lines of the poem again. Why do you think the old woman sees herself as a terrible fish? Why did she choos
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

The woman sees herself as a terrible fish because her younger self is drowning and disappearing as she is getting older. Which is why this is a great form of imagery because the reader can see a terrible fish drowning just like her younger self is drowning in her new body. I believe that she chose to compare herself to a fish because she feels that she is aging fast and ultimately nearing death.

I believe that she chose to compare herself to a fish because she feels that she is aging fast and ultimately nearing death.

The mirror explains, in the final lines, "In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman / Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish."

The woman was said to have awatched as her youth slowly disappear or fade over the years of looking into the same mirror, which is why the mirror interprets that as a kind of "drowning" of the woman's youth. While te "terrible fish," then, is the specter of old age, the total loss of youth and vitality.
