The answer is 64 because you add 4 to both sides then you get 3/4w-1/2w=16 then you find like terms between 3/4w and 1/2w and it's 4 so you change 1/2 to 2/4 and then subtract 2/4w from 3/4w and you get 1/4w and that would make your equation 1/4w=16 then you divided by 1/4 which is multiplying by 4 and you get W=64

Determine whether each equation has one solution, no solution, or infinite solutions.
Sati [7]

Answer:

a. has one solution

b. infinite solution

Step-by-step explanation:

a.

2(x - 1) + 6 = 4x - 22

2x - 2 + 6 = 4x - 22

2x - 4x = 2 - 6 - 22

-2x = -26

x = 26/2

x = 13

b.

6(2x + 1) – 2 = 12x + 4

12x + 6 - 2 = 12x + 4

12x - 12x = 4 + 2 - 6

0 = 0

How to determine the better method?

From the question, we understand the Collin selected random names from the school directory.

While Karl surveyed only the students sitting close to him.

Karl's method is biased because students sitting far from him do not have a chance of being surveyed.

Hence, Collin's sampling method will better represent the entire population.
