Why do living things need nitrogen?

Biology

The atmosphere is made up of 21 per cent of oxygen and the rest is mainly nitrogen,if the atmosphere was high in oxygen we would over oxygenate our body leading us to death, but since our lungs do not absorb nitrogen, when breathing,we get the right level of oxygen.   so basically in order to have oxygen,we need nitrogen.
also, we need nitrogen to make proteins in our bodies( muscle, skin,DNA,etc) in the sense that our bodies need nitrogen in the amino acids from food containing protein to produce more amino acids

Termites share an endosymbiotic relationship with the protozoan that live in their gut. Which statements are true of this relati
Alchen [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

The true statements are:

-The termite benefits from the relationship by receiving food from the protozoan

-The protozoan benefits from the relationship by receiving shelter and food from the termite

The second statement is obvious. The protozoan lives in the termite, eating what the termite eats and enjoying the shelter the termite provides. The first statement is also true, but poorly worded. the termite does not actually receive food from the protozoan. The protozoan only helps to digest the food that the termite has already consumed.

Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

This is an example of adaptation due to a progressive mutation

Explanation:

At the beginning, the bacteria can use the galactose as carbon source for it needs, but since this food is getting out in every new generation. The new generations can be adapted to survive with smaller quantities of galactose until there will be one generation that can survive with any galactose source, when this offspring reach the area of the plate without galactose, then it can be grown in ant area.

BigorU [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is stem cell

Stem cells are the cells that can convert into any specific type of cell by dividing it repeatedly. So stem cells are unspecialized and can give rise to specialized cells.

As they can divide repeatedly and give rise to a specialized type of cell they allow the body to heal, repair and grow. There are different types of stem cell like induced pluripotent cell, adult stem cell, an embryonic stem cell.

Stem cell transplant is used to in the patient who cannot produce normal blood cell, for example, bone marrow transplant.
