We tend to make choices that are similar to those made by the people with whom we spend the most time. If your peer group values and strives for wellness, then you are likely to do the same. Conversely, if your peers have poor wellness, then you may also suffer.
Peer groups help a person strive toward wellness. Studies have shown that being around others helps battle depression. Depressed people are often sad and lonely and limit their social activities. Peer groups can greatly help a person get back on track and feel well again
