Answer: The correct option is 1.

Explanation:

From the given figure it is noticed that there are two right angle triangles.

In triangle RST and triangle VUT the angle S and U are same.

\frac{RS}{VU} =\frac{12}{6} =2

\frac{ST}{UT}= \frac{16}{8}=2

The ratio of the sides are same and an angle is congruent, therefore by SAS the triangle SAS both triangles are similar.

The option 2 and 4 contains the ratio of three sides but only two sides of each triangle are known so option 2 and 4 is incorrect.

\frac{RS}{VU} =\frac{12}{6} =2

\frac{TU}{TS}= \frac{8}{16}=\frac{1}{2}

\frac{RS}{VU}\neq \frac{TU}{TS}

So, the option 3 is incorrect.

Find the number that makes the ratio equivalent to 2:6.<br><br> 8:
Citrus2011 [14]
A ratio is used to describe how two or more quantities are related. For example, we might say that a fruit drink calls for sugar crystals to be mixed with water in a ratio of 2:6. This means that for every 2 scoops sugar crystals, there will need to be 6 ounces of water. If there were 200 scoops of sugar crystals, there would need to be 600 ounces of water.

olga55 [171]

Answer:

d. 126; 70

Step-by-step explanation:

given that Ron  finds 9 books at a bookstore that he would like to buy, but he can afford only 5 of them.

Out of 9 books he has to select 5 of them

Here selection of books can be done in any order.  Hence order does not matter

No of ways he selects 5 books out of 9 books = 9C5

= 126

Part II

One book is a must

Hence he has options only 4 books from the remaining 8.

No of ways when one book is compulsory = selecting 3 books from 8 books

= 8C4

= 70

Option d is right.

Which statement correctly describes the slope of the linear function that is represented by the data in the table?
777dan777 [17]
Slope=change in y/change in x

one way is t pick 2 points, (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)
the slope is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

pick some points
(8,4) and (8,0)
slope=(0-4)/(8-8)=-4/0=undefined
the slope is undefined
so you could say there is no solpe

answer is D
