We have 2x^3+10x^2+9x+38 / x+5
first we solve x+5 -----> x + 5= 0 , x= - 5.

then we solve using the technique for synthetic division

-5 ! 2   10    9    38
    !
    !     -10    0   -45
    -------------------------
    2     0       9   -7..................this -7 is the reminder

having this the answer is  2x^2+9x-7/(x+5)

hope this helps !

Marat540 [252]

Answer:

4th option

Step-by-step explanation:

using the rule of logarithms

log^{n} = nlogx

3^{7x} - 8 = - 2 ( add 8 to both sides )

3^{7x} = 6 ( take the log of both sides )

log3^{7x} = log6

7xlog3 = log6 ( divide both sides by 7log3 )

x = \frac{log6}{7log3} ≈ 0.23 ( to the nearest hundredth )
