Daniel does not like math classes. His high school has a local requirement that every high school student must graduate with 4 m

ath credits. Daniel is conducting a survey of students to take to the board of education to help support his case. Daniel hands out surveys to every student at his school. The surveys ask questions that relate to the local math requirement. Attached to the survey Daniel includes a handout with information supporting his view. Is this a valid survey? Why or why not?

This is my opinion, but the fact that he attaches info for only one side of the problem seems unfair. maybe he could've debated with a person with opposite  views and include the debate instead of the one-sided info!

Answer:

This is a biased survey and is not valid.

Step-by-step explanation:

Daniel only attaches a handout that supports his views on the issue, and does not provide any insight from what other students or teachers may think. Therefore, this is rigging the survey, because the people who take it will only hear his arguments and not the other side's before completing the survey.

Hope this helps :)

the shelf life of fresh bread has a mean of 6 days with a standard deviation of 1/2 of a day. what percent of loaves at the bake
Elena L [17]
Since you're looking at 2 standard deviations from the mean, you follow the 66 95 rule which says 95 % of the data is within 2 standard deviations.  however you just need half of that since the other half is on the other side of the data meaning it last longer than 7 days.  So 2.5% is the answer.

Find the area of the following shape
Mila [183]

Answer:

180mm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

CB = 15^2 + 6^2 = 261, the square root of 261 is ~16mm

CB is 16mm

the area of the triangle is A=ab/2

A=45mm^2

Now you need to find the area of the rectangle

A=l×w

A= 15×9= 135mm^2

now add both areas

(135+45)mm^2=180mm^2

A coat cost $ 131.61 with 9.5% sales tax
marysya [2.9K]

Calculating Total Cost. Multiply the cost of an item or service by the sales tax in order to find out the total cost. The equation looks like this: Item or service cost x sales tax (in decimal form) = total sales tax. Add the total sales tax to the Item or service cost to get your total cost. Multiply retail price by tax rate

Let's say you're buying a $100 item with a sales tax of 5%. Your math would be simply: [cost of the item] x [percentage as a decimal] = [sales tax]. That's $100 x .

digit at tens place of two digit number is twice the digit at units place .if sum of this number and the no.formed by reversing
Dima020 [189]
Let the number be     xy ,

xy = 10x + y.   when reversed = yx = 10y + x

x = 2y          ........(a)

10x + y + 10y + x = 66.........(b)

10(2y) + y + 10y + 2y = 66

20y + y + 10y + 2y = 66

33y = 66

y = 66/33

y = 2

x = 2y = 2*2 = 4

Recall the original number is xy =     42.
