Answer:

By adding more of a product (or anything). It becomes saturated.

1 cup of water + 5 cups of oil = Super satured oil/water.

How many liters of solution would it take to make a 0.250 M solution when you have 3.52 moles of solute?
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

The volume of solution in liters required to make a 0.250 M solution from 3.52 moles of solute is 14.08 liters of solution

Explanation:

The question relates to the definition of the concentration of a solution which is the number of moles per liter (1 liter = 1 dm³) of solution

Therefore we have;

The concentration of the intended solution = 0.250 M

Therefore, the number of moles per liter of the required resolution = 0.250 moles

Therefore, the concentration of the required solution = 0.250 moles/liter

The volume in liters of the required solution that will have 3.52 moles of the solute is given as follows;

The required volume of solution = The number of moles of the solute/(The concentration of the solution)

∴ The required volume of solution = 3.52 moles/(0.250 moles/liter) = 14.08 liters

The required volume of solution to make a 0.250 M solution from 3.52 moles of solute = 14.08 liters.

Therefore the number of liters required to make a 0.250 M solution from 3.52 moles of solute = 14.08 liters.

If 8cm^3 of H2 reacts with an excess of Cl2, calculate how much of the HCL(g) is produced.
Rom4ik [11]
First, we need the balanced equation: H₂ + Cl₂ ---> 2HCl

since not much information is given, I am assuming we are at STP and that 22.4 Liters= 1 mol

1) let's convert the volume to moles using the molar volume of a gas. also we need to convert the cm₃ to mL, then to Liters.

8 cm³ (1 ml/ 1 cm³)(1 L/ 1000 mL) (1 mol/ 22.4 Liters)= 3.6x10⁻⁴ moles of H₂

2) let's use the mole ratio of the balanced equation to convert moles of H₂ to moles of HCl

3.6x10⁻⁴ mol H₂ (2 mol HCl/ 1 mol H₂)= 7.1x10⁻⁴ mol HCl

3) lastly, we convert the moles of HCl to grams using the molar mass.

molar mass of HCl= 1.01 + 35.5= 36.51 g/mol

7.1x10⁻⁴ mol HCl (36.51 g/mol)= 0.026 grams HCl

First person with the right answer gets brainliest thanks (btw the numbers on the right are the answers choose the right one)
kap26 [50]
Molar mass of FE2O3=2(55.85)+3(16)=159.7

2.56g*1mol/159.7*2mol/1mol*55.85g/1mol=1.79g

How many grams of sodium chloride are present in a 0.75 M solution with a volume of 500.0 milliliters?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
The units for molarity is moles of solute per liter of solution which means if you multiply the molarity of a solution by its volume you get how many moles of solute are in the solution. (0.75Mx0.5L=0.375mol NaCl) Then you can multiply the moles of sodium chloride (0.375 mol) by its molar mass (58.45 g/mol) to get 21.92g of sodium chloride. That means there is 21.92 grams of sodium chloride in 500mL of 0.75M solution. I hope this helps. Let me know if anything is unclear.
