Norma-Jean [14]

Answer

Find out the at this speed how long would it take him to drive 85 miles .

To prove

Formula

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

As given

While driving on the highway, Mason put his car on cruise control at 68 miles per hour.

Here

Speed = 68 miles per hour

Distance = 85 miles

Put in the formula

68 = \frac{85}{Time}

Time = \frac{85}{68}

Time = 1.25 hours

Therefore it take 1.25 hours to drive 85 miles .

A Ferris wheel travels in a circular motion and measures 40 meters from the top car to the bottom car. What is the length of the
luda_lava [24]

Answer:

  20 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance from the top car to the bottom car is equal to the diameter of the wheel. The diameter is 40 m, and that is twice the radius. The radius of the Ferris wheel is (40 m)/2 = 20 m.

MATHEMATICAL CONNECTIONS The value of the surface area of the cylinder is equal to the value of the volume of the cylinder. Find
loris [4]

Given :

The value of the surface area of the cylinder is equal to the value of the volume of the cylinder.

To Find :

The relation between height and radius.

Solution :

S.A=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2=2\pi r(h+r)

V=\pi r^2h

Now ,

S.A=V\\\\2\pi r(h+r)=\pi r^2h\\\\2(h+r)=rh\\\\2h+2r=rh\\\\h(2-r)=-2r\\\\h=\dfrac{2r}{r-2}

Hence, this is the required solution.
