It is a because each day you run 5 miles, meaning 100 miles is decreasing since you keep running the miles away, for example if you ran for 4 days 100-20, because we multiplied 4x 5( the amount of miles) and now we would have 80 miles to go

It would have to be the first option.

The second option is not correct because you are not adding more than what her goal is.

The third option is not correct because you are not dividing from her goal.

The fourth option is not correct because it would ultimately result in a negative number.

The first option is correct because it subtracts how many days she has ran times 5 from her goal. The resulting answer would show how many miles she has left to reach her goal of 100 miles during that month.

Hope this helps!

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 1/2 Arc AB ( Relation between inscribed angle and corresponding arc)

x = 1/ 2 * 124

x = 62°

y = x ( Inscribed angles on standing on same arc are equal)

y = 62°

Hope it will help :)

The polynomial equation x cubed + x squared = negative 9 x minus 9 has complex roots plus-or-minus 3 i. What is the other root?
natta225 [31]

Answer:

  -1

Step-by-step explanation:

The attached result from a graphing calculator shows the other root to be ...

  x = -1

__

The "system of equations" consists of one equation for the left side function, and one equation for the right side function. The graphs of the two equations intersect at the point where the left and right parts of the given equation are equal to each other. The graphs intersect at x=-1.

__

<em>Additional comment</em>

We prefer to subtract one side of the equation from the other, so we have a single function whose value is 0 at the root of interest. Here, that would be ...

  (x^3 +x^2) -(-9x -9) = 0

  x^2 +x^2 +9x +9 = 0

We would graph y = x^3 +x^2 +9x +9 and have the graphing calculator identify the x-intercept. This is shown in the second attachment. No "system of equations" is required for this.
