Answer:

A) 3S + 15H = 30.00

B) 2S + 4H = 11.00

We'll multiply B) by -1.5

B) -3S + -6H = -16.50  then we add this to A)

A) 3S + 15H = 30.00

9H = 13.50

1 Hat costs $1.50

That means 15 Hats cost 22.50 so equation A becomes:

3S + 22.50 = 30

3S = 7.50

1 Streamer costs $2.50

What is the slope-intercept form of the linear equation 4x + 2y = 24????
likoan [24]
Slope-intercept form of an equation is y = mx + b, where <em>m </em>is the slope and <em>b </em>is the y-intercept.

To put this equation in the form of y = mx + b, we have to isolate the y. Here's how:
4x + 2y=24 \\ (4x + 2y)-4x=(24)-4x \\ 2y=-4x+24 \\ (2y)/2=(-4x+24)/2 \\ y= \frac{-4}{2}x + \frac{24}{2}   \\ y=-2x+12

In slope-intercept form, the equation is y = -2x + 12.

Hope this helps!
