In cells, there are two types of transportation of needed organic compounds. The active and passive transport.
The active transport requires energy or ATP while passive doesn't. Further, diffusion, a passive transport transfers compounds from higher to lower concentrations.

If the water is salty like in the oceans, as the water freezes the salt is pushed out making the water denser making it sink to the bottom in a current to keep climate cool and the surface currents warm the artic. The way it effects life is, it makes a passageway over the freezing water across so that you won't freeze to death swimming. And it helps migration too. The Sub-zero waters keep algae from growing, which is good because most are hibernation.

In humeral fractures, the main nerves in the arm may have been damaged or compressed (by the cast) after manual reduction. The sensory nerve involved in this case is the musculocutaneous nerve which provide sensation in the hands, particularly here in the right hand. Compression by the cast interrupts nerve impulses in the musculocutaneous nerve owing to the loss of sensation and the removal of cast relieves the compression therefore there is regain of sensation.

Between 1891 and 1892 Eugène Dubois believed he had found the "missing link", hypothesized by Ernst Haeckel, when he discovered some loose teeth, a skull cap and a femur - very similar to that of modern man - in the excavations he was carrying out in Trinil, located on the island of Java, Indonesia. Homo erectus erectus was the first specimen of Homo erectus to be discovered.  Dubois first named it <u>Anthropopithecus erectus and then renamed it Pithecanthropus erectus.</u> The name Homo erectus means in Latin "erect man", wich means, "standing man", whereas Pithecantropus erectus means "standing ape-man".

So, Dubois published these findings as Pithecanthropus erectus in 1894, more popularly known as "Java Man" or "Trinil Man". In the 1930s the German palaeontologist Ralpf von Koenigswald obtained new fossils, both from Trinil and from new locations such as Sangiran and in 1938 von Koenigswald identified a magnificent Sangiran skull as "Pithecanthropus". It was not until 1940 that Mayr attributed all these remains to the genus Homo (Homo erectus erectus).
