The Maslow's theory is divided in five hierarchy (from lowest level to highest level)

1. Physiological needs -These are basic requirements for survival,e.g food, water, air, shelter etc.  For a human to function these needs must be satisfied.

2. Safety and security - The need to be protected, secured, free from fear and other elements that threaten security.

3. Love and belongingness- the need to feel loved, have relationship with others and also give affection. E.g. Family relationships

4. Self-esteem - It has to do with the confidence in one's self and also the desire to be respected.

5. Self-actualization - This is the final stage and this is a stage of self- fulfillment, acceptance and also seeking for personal growth.
