Patient with 18 years of age who has fever, dysuria, hematuria and flank pain; also costovertebral pain. Pathological uroanalysis (positive nitrites with 25-50 white blood cells). She is a patient with an acute urinary infection and who deserves a specific antibiotic for this type of infections. We must bear in mind that 75% to 80% of the germ that causes urinary infection is Escherichia Coli, therefore we must look for an effective antibiotic against it. Therefore, it is preferred to use macrodantin, first and second generation cephalosporins, amoxicillin / clavulanic acid and sometimes quinolones.
