Aim of the experiment :To test between Shampoo A and Shampoo B and to find out which shampoo is more effective in making my hair look shinier.

Procedure,  On day 1, I would apply Shampoo A on my dirty hair. Leave it on my hair for 5 minutes then wash it off with cold water.

Observation and Data Collection: After my hair is dry I would observe it under natural light and also take a picture of my hair so that I have record keeping of the shiny luster of the hair.

On day 2, I would repeat the same steps with Shampoo B.

Analysis: At the end of day two I would then compare the pictures of my hair to determine which shampoo between A and B was more effective in giving my hair a shiny luster.

HNO3 + H2O → H3O^+ + NO3<br> which ones are acids and which ones are bases
nlexa [21]

Answer:

  • HNO₃ and  H₃O⁺ are acids
  • H₂O and  NO₃⁻ are bases

Explanation:

The chemical equation is:

  • HNO₃ + H₂O → H₃O⁺ + NO₃⁻

There are several definitions of acid and bases: Arrhenius', Bronsted-Lowry's and Lewis'.

Bronsted-Lowry model defines and <em>acid</em> as a donor of protons, H⁺.

In the given equation HNO₃ is such substance: it releases an donates its hdyrogen to form the H₃O⁺ ion.

On the other hand, a <em>base</em> is a substance that accepts protons.

In the reaction shown, H₂O accepts the proton from HNO₃ to form H₃O⁺.

Thus, H₂O is a base.

In turn, on the reactant sides the substances can be classified as acids or bases.

H₃O⁺ contain an hydrogen that can be donated and form H₂O; thus, it is an acid (the conjugated acid), and NO₃⁻ can accept a proton to form HNO₃; thus it is a base (the conjugated base).

How many milliliters are in 425 g of bromine if the density of bromine is 3.12 g/cm3
arlik [135]

Answer:

<h2>136.2 mL</h2>

Explanation:

The volume of a substance when given the density and mass can be found by using the formula

volume =  \frac{mass}{density} \\

From the question

mass = 425

density = 3.12 g/cm³

We have

volume =  \frac{425}{3.12}  \\  = 136.2 \:  \:  {cm}^{3}

Since cm³ = mL

We have the final answer as

<h3>136.2 mL</h3>

Hope this helps you
