Answer:

Molecular formula is CaCl2 i.e. 1 atom of Ca and 2 atoms of Cl . Hence, molecular weight = 1 x 40 + 2 x 35.5 = 40 + 71 = 111 g / mol . But if you look at the weight online, it says 110.98 g / mol , which is close to 111

Explanation:

Hope this helped :)

SIZIF [17.4K]
Answer is: enthalpy for this reaction is -175.91 kJ.
Chemical reaction: NH₃ + HCl → NH₄Cl.
ΔrH = ∑ΔfH(products of reaction) - ∑ΔfH(reactants).
ΔrH = ΔfH(NH₄Cl) - (ΔfH(NH₃) + ΔfH(HCl)).
ΔrH = -314.4 kJ/mol · 1 mol - (-46.19 kJ/mol · 1 mol + (-92.30 kJ/mol) · 1 mol).
ΔrH = -314.4 kJ + 138.49 kJ.
ΔrH = -175.91 kJ.

Which of the following correctly describes the difference (on average) between an electron in a 2s orbital and an electron in a
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

C: electrons is the 3s orbital are higher than those in the 2s orbital

Explanation:

Looking at the options, the correct one is that the electrons in the 3s orbital will possess more energy than those in the 2s orbital. This is because the the 2s orbitals will be filled with electrons first before the 3s orbital.

Also from basics we know that the energy of an orbital increases as the quantum number increases.

ANTONII [103]

Answer:

Covalent bonds

Explanation:

Atoms with greatly differing electronegativity values are expected to form..... ... When two atoms each need additional electrons to fill their valence shells, but neither is electronegative enough to steal electrons from the other, they can form another kind of chemical bond called a covalent bond.
