Answer:

Babylonian empires and Hittite empires were both located in roughly the same area, this area is today called the Middle East.

The two empires existed at the same time. The Hittite empires from 1600 B.C. to 1178 B.C. and the Babylonian empires from 1894 B.C. to 594 B.C (we note an overlap in the two time periods).

DIFFERENCES

Hittites lived in the North, while the Babylonians lived in more southern part.

Hittites used iron, while the Babylonians used bronze.

The Babylonian justice system was very severe and harsh, even for small crimes (for example: punishment by death, loss of limbs, etc.). The Hittites were not as severe for small crimes or wrongdoings (for example: they had to pay fines).

Babylonians were known for their astronomy and math, while the Hittites were known as warriors.

The Babylonian empire had already set up in the middle east, while the Hittites arrived to conquer land.

Why was the Freedmen’s Bureau established?
Allisa [31]

Answer:

\boxed {\boxed {\sf A. \ To \ provide \ freedmen \ with \ healthcare \ and \ education}}

Explanation:

After the Civil War and 13th Amendment, slavery was abolished from the United States. This left 4 million former slaves or freedmen to fend for themselves while looking for jobs, homes, and educations during the period of Reconstruction.

The Freedmen's Bureau was created by the government to help the freedmen transition. They helped tons of former slaves through meals, healthcare, labor contracts, and the building/funding of schools and colleges.

They attempted to redistribute land (choice C) but most efforts were unsuccessful and it wasn't the main purpose. It was not created for suffrage (choice B) or to help prospective politicians (choice D). This leaves choice A as the best answer.
