Answer:

1. a fluid-filled tube in which sound waves trigger nerve impulses.

Explanation:

The cochlea is one of the three areas of the inner ear. Its structure resembles the shell of snails. The cochlea is present anterior to the vestibule and is bony. It has several hair cells present in the organ of Corti. Hair cells serve as auditory receptors. As the sound waves enter the organ of Corti, the hair cells sense them and send the nerve impulse to the brain via the cochlear nerve. The brain interprets the pitch of the sound.

The correct answer is rapids and waterfalls.

Rapids refers to the segments of streams with extensively vigorous currents, various obstacles, and steps in their streambeds. A waterfall refers to a vertical drop in a stream bed. Both are the locations of vigorous erosion.

The rapids are generally produced where the resilient bedrock limits a stream to a narrow channel and forces an enhancement in the velocity of water.

On the other hand, waterfalls are produced where the fast-flowing water negotiates a geologic contact amid the more resilient and less resistant layers of rock, or through a fault, which has analogized distinct kinds of rocks. Or it can be said that waterfalls usually produce at the end of a series of rapids.

The interaction between which protein and ion initiates muscle coupling?
labwork [276]

Answer:

Troponin and calcium ions.

Explanation:

Troponin is a component of thin filament along with tropomyosin and actin. It is a protein complex to which calcium binds and start the production of muscular force.

Calcium also playing a very important role in muscle contractions, it binds with troponin and helping to move tropomyosin.

When calcium ion attached to troponin, then conformational changes occurs in troponin shape and moves which allow tropomyosin going away from its inhibitory position from the myosin-binding sites on actin. After this, the energized myosin head starts binding to the actin molecules and starts the cross bridge cycle, which helping in shortening the muscle's fiber.
