It was so hard to find out that Macchu Picchu was there because the Incan people destroyed their roads. They took this action to prevent the Spanish from finding their prized possessions. This was the reason it was hard to find this beautiful ancient city. The person who is believed to order the construction of this city was Pachacuti, Huayna Capac's grandfather. It took many years to create the final Macchu Picchu.
