Explain how the interaction of the Sun, the atmosphere, and the oceans produce winds.
Sergio [31]

Explanation:

The sun heats the air leading to warm air. the warm air rises thus makes the cooler air from the surroundings to replace it. This leads to creating wind . This same process applies for ocean currents.

The sun heats water which make warm water come to the surface of the ocean thus replacing it with cooler water leading to ocean currents.

Do you think the wings of a Galapagos cormorant are vestigial structures?
Inga [223]

Answer:

The Galapagos cormorant has vestigial wings that don't help it to fly or swim, though the birds still dry them off in the sun after they get wet, just as if they would if they still could use them to fly. This species diverged into a flightless bird about 2 million years ago.

Explain the cause-effect relationship between environmental changes and the extinction of species.
Contact [7]

Answer: Anything living needs to have certain conditions, if for example a group of flightless birds who are adapted for warm weather had their environment get colder each year and more extreme the surrounding plants and other animals may have a difficult time surviving and this will cause the birds to have less food. The birds also will not be accustomed to these changes and will not be able to adapt their bodies fast enough. This also makes reproduction difficult and in turn further dwindles the population.

Hope this helps!
