If Monica's heart beat is 225 times in 3 minutes. 225 ÷ 3 = 75 beats per minute.

Jordy's heart beat 360 times in 5 minutes. 360 ÷ 5 =  72 beats per minute.

So your answer is B. Monica had the faster heart rate of 75 beats per minute.

Hope this helps. :)

What does squared mean in geometry
MAVERICK [17]

In mathematics, a square is the result of multiplying a number by itself. The verb "to square" is used to denote this operation. Squaring is the same as raising to the power 2, and is denoted by a superscript 2; for instance, the square of 3 may be written as 32, which is the number 9.

Rent for 1 week = 104.92

Rent for 52 weeks =  = $5455.84

If f(x)=x^2 and g(x)=4f(x)-1, then what is the value of g(-3)? I don't get it...
Ksju [112]
The answer is 35.

For g(-3), we substitute -3 for x:

g(-3) = 4f(-3) - 1

Since f(x) = x², this means that
f(-3) = (-3)² = 9; we can put this in place of f(-3):

g(-3) = 4(9) - 1
g(-3) = 36 - 1 = 35
