The Antonina dynasty was the ruling house in the Roman Empire between 96 and 192, being 96 years, and therefore the longest dynasty. The first five members are also known by the name of the Five Good Emperors, a name proposed by Machiavelli and promoted by the historian Edward Gibbon, whose principalities he said were "the happiest time in the history of mankind."
