The given sequence is
1, -2, 4, -8, ....,
Multiply the 1st term by -2 to obtain     1*(-2) = -2   (the 2nd term)
Multiply the 2nd term by -2 to obtain -2*(-2) = 4    (the 3rd term)
Multiply the 3rd term by -2 to obtain  -2*(4) = -8  (the 4th term)
Answer:
Anet is incorrect.
This is a geometric sequence with a common ratio of -2.

Initial size = 24 (This is the 1st term in the sequence)
2nd term = 24 +5 = 24 + (2-1)*5
3rd term =  24 + 5 + 5 = 24 +(3-1)*5
By induction, the n-th term is
A(n) = 24 + (n-1)*5
Answer:
The given formula is correct.

on a certain hot Summer's Day 613 people use the public swimming pool the daily prices are $1.75 for children $2.25 for adults t
Elodia [21]

389 children and 224 adults were at the pool that day.

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of one child ticket = $1.75

Cost of one adult ticket = $2.25

Total people = 613

Total receipts worth = $1184.75

Let,

Number of children = x

Number of adults = y

According to given statement;

x+y=613    Eqn 1

1.75x+2.25y=1184.75    Eqn 2

Multiplying Eqn 1 by 1.75

1.75(x+y=613)\\1.75x+1.75y=1072.75\ \ \ Eqn\ 3

Subtracting Eqn 3 from Eqn 2

(1.75x+2.25y)-(1.75x+1.75y)=1184.75-1072.75\\1.75x+2.25y-1.75x-1.75y=112.00\\0.50y=112.00

Dividing both sides by 0.50

\frac{0.50y}{0.50}=\frac{112.00}{0.50}\\y=224

Putting y=224 in Eqn 1

x+224=613\\x=613-224\\x=389\\

389 children and 224 adults were at the pool that day.

40 points for this question! Algebra 2. With all explanation, please!
const2013 [10]
You will need three roots for this, so we have
 Let x = -30, -10 and +20
So the factors will be  (x+30)(x+10)(x-20)
The divide it to 100, this will help bring the peak up and down
So the polynomial function R(x) will become
1/100 *  (x+30)(x+10)(x-20)
R(x) = 1/100 * (x+30)(x+10)(x-20)

Finding the X-intercept:
Let R(x) = 0 and solve for x.
1/100 * (x+30)(x+10)(x-20) = 0
x = -30, -10, 20 are the x-intercepts.
