The correct answer is False

Explanation:

A presentation is a communicative situation in which a speaker explains or speaks to a group of people (audience) about some situation or topic. Presentations can have different purposes (inform, narrate, explain or persuade) and can focus on almost any kind of topic. Additionally, it is common the organization of content in presentations varies according to the topic or speaker, but in general terms a presentations includes an introduction, in which the speaker introduces himself and the topic, a development of the topic and a conclusion or closure in which the speaker provides the final ideas of the topic and in some cases provide contact information in case the audience is interested in knowing more about the topic or the speaker itself.

However, this is not a common situation in most presentations and the speaker is only required to provide contact information in academic events or similar formal situations or this information can be provided at the beginning of the presentation. Thus, it is not true "you should always end your presentation by giving your contact information" because this type of information is not a must in all presentations and does not necessarily needs to be provided at the end.

WHAT TO THE SLAVE IS THE FOURTH OF JULY?
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Frederick Douglass, 1818-1895, was an African American who sought throughout his life to bring social reform to the U.S and to stop slavery and its consequences not just on the African American people, but on the entire nation at large. Having been a slave himself, he escaped bondage and gained his freedom after escaping to England and Ireland thanks to the education he attained from his former owner. He also became an orator and dedicated his life to the abolition movement. In this particular speech, given on the ocassion of a Fourth of July celebration, Douglass does not so much expound on the greatness that means celebrating this national holiday of independence but rather on the fact that not all Americans, including African Americans, can enjoy it because some are still tied through slavery. He mentions the fact that he was basically coarced to speak on this day as if he were also a part of it, happy for it, but in truth he decides to show his listeners that he is first, and foremost, black and he sides with slaves completely. Because of his choice in this matter, of making people aware of who and what he is and was, he says clearly, from the 3rd paragraph, lines 1 through 16, that celebrating the 4th of July with them, when so many of his brethren suffer bondage would be treason. This is why, the correct answer is C.

olga2289 [7]

Personally, that which gives someone more persuasive leverage is: psychological data (the means to target an individual based on their values, fears, and group associations).

What is Psychological Leverage?

Psychological leverage refers to the tendency to capitalize on a person's emotions to get them to be persuaded on a topic. It is common knowledge that fear and emotion sell fast.

So, if a speaker can work on the psychology of those to whom he speaks, he will most likely persuade them on anything.
