Graphing a line given it’s equation in standard form

Mathematics

You'd first change the equation to slope-intercept form.

For example:

-2x + y = 6

You'd add 2x to both sides -

-2x + y + 2x = 6 + 2x

y = 2x + 6

So you'd graph y = 2x + 6

___

Hope this helped!

The area of the given figure is 56 sq cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The figure consists of 5 different diagrams: 4 triangles and a square

Each side of square = 4 cm

Height(h) of the triangle = 5 cm

Base(b) of the triangle = 4 cm

To find the area of the given figure

Formula

Area of square = side × side sq cm

Area of triangle = \frac{1}{2}×base × height

So, area of square = 4 ×4 sq cm = 16 sq cm

Area of triangle = \frac{1}{2}×4×5 sq cm = 10 sq cm

The area of 4 triangles = 10×4 sq cm = 40 sq cm

Hence the area of the given diagram = 40 + 16 sq cm = 56 sq cm

Plz help I’m trying to solve for the indicated variable
Lynna [10]

Hey there! :)

Answer:

a. b = y - mx

b. x = y - b /m

c. t = I/ pr

d. t = A - p/pr

Step-by-step explanation:

a. y = mx + b (for b)

Isolate the b variable by subtracting both sides by mx:

y - mx = b.

Therefore:

b = y - mx.

b. y = mx + b (for x)

Subtract 'b' from both sides:

y - b = mx

Divide 'm' from both sides:

y - b / m = x

c. I = prt

Divide both sides by pr:

I /pr = t.

d. A = p + prt

Subtract p from both sides:

A - p = prt

Divide both sides by pr:

A - p / pr = t
