Substitue y=3x+2 to the y in y=x+10.
3x+2= x+10

Subtract 2 to both sides.
3x=x+8

Subtract x to both sides.
2x=8

Divide both sides by 2
2x/2 = 8/2

You are left with x = 4

Choose one equation and replace x by 4.
y = (4) + 10
y= 14

Now, you have x = 4 and y= 14. So, your ordered pair is (4,14) because both lines pass through that point.

If you do not want to do this solution, I suggest you graph it using the slope.

Answer if you know
Arlecino [84]
I've attached a plot of one such cross-section (orange) over the region in the x-y plane (blue), including the bounding curves (red). (I've set y=1.25 for this example.)

The length of each cross section (the side lying in the base) has length determined by the horizontal distance x between the y-axis x=0 and the curve y=\sqrt x. In terms of y, this distance is x=y^2. The height of each cross section is twice the value of y, so the area of each rectangular cross section should be 2y^3.

This means the volume would be given by the integral

Which set of numbers shows all factors of 18
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: Factors of 18: The square root of 18 is 4.2426, rounded down to the closest whole number is 4. Testing the integer values 1 through 4 for division into 18 with a 0 remainder we get these factor pairs: (1 and 18), (2 and 9), (3 and 6). The factors of 18 are 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18.

hope this helps ^-^
