Not sure what the 5 step plan is but

Joey has 11 nickels
so from "<span>The number of dimes is 3 times the number of nickels."
we know joey has 33 dimes.
11 nickels is 55 cents. 33 dimes is 3 dollars and 30 cents
in total 3 dollars and 85 cents</span>

Which one is the answer for these qution 4x=5(9x+2)<br> A)5/2<br> B)41/10<br> C)-10/41<br> D)10/41
stealth61 [152]
C. -10/41

First use the distributive property to get 4x = 45x + 10
Use subtraction on both sides by 10
Again use subtraction of 4x on both sides
You now have -10 = 41x
Use division to get x alone and you now have -10/41 = x

How do you solve problem with two variables
nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

In your equations, there is only one variable you're using: y. I do not know what you mean by 2 variables, but probably you copied the wrong equations.

......Anyways......

To solve it, you must know that the sum of all 3 angles of a triangle is 180°.

To set up the equation, add all three angle measures on one side of the equation, and then 180 on the other side. It should be like this:

(6y+1)+(4y-7)+(9y+3) = 180

Now that you're done with the set-up, I assume you know what to do next. We can't always do the work for you. ^_~

> Add up the measures of each angle.

> Isolate the equation with only variable on one side and only number on the other side.

> Substitute each variable y for each angle measure and solve it.

Hope this helps a lot. ^_^
