although it's actually thought to be much, much longer: over 5000 miles long, if yoiu include natural defensive barriers used in it.
The southern part, because the altitude increases as you go south in Egypt and leads into the Ethiopian highlands

2. Uncertainty within the people
it gives you a certain direction, north, south,east,west, and in-between!
