Answer: Yes, the insulin gene can be cloned.

Explanation:

The insulin gene is cloned and this is done using recombinant DNA technology. The trick is that the introns are excluded before the genes are introduced into the bacteria.

This is because the part of the gene that contains the information needed are the exons.

The cells already naturally remove introns. It's called gene splicing.

So in the cloning of insulin, the already spliced mRNA is what is used. This mRNA is copied into a DNA version using an enzyme called reverse transctiptase.

The DNA is then made double stranded using Polymerase Chain Reaction(PCR). This double stranded DNA is just exons, no introns. It is then put into the plasmids and the bacteria and copied.

What are the different worm phylums? Describe the differences between the three and give examples for each.
Evgesh-ka [11]
The three main worm phyla are flatworms, roundworms, and segmented worms. Roundworms have a digestive tube that has two openings. Segmented worms have a closed circulatory system in which blood is enclosed in blood vessels. These are important steps in the evolutionary development of animals.

Which of the following statements about the movement of lipids in the bilayer is true? a) Lipids are free to flip from one plane
galben [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is b) "All of the above".

Explanation:

Nowadays it is known that the lipid bilayer of the cells is not static, actually, the modern Fluid-Mosaic membrane model establishes that the lipids move constantly within the lipid bilayer. The lipids are able to rotate within its axis, the lipids are able to movement laterally moving from one site to the other within the same plane, and also can move from a plane to the other plane in what is known as transverse "flip flop" movement.
