Explanation:

Force= spring constant × extension

56 = x × 0.18 (convert 18cm to m= 18÷100= 0.18m)

56÷0.18= x

∴ x= 311.11 N/m

How much energy is needed to raise a 50kg block up from the ground to a height of 5 meters?
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

The answer to your question is Pe = 2452.5 J

Explanation:

Data

mass = 50 kg

height = 5 m

gravity = 9.81 m/s²

Process

The energy of this process is Potential energy which is proportional to the mass of the body, the gravity and the height of the body.

           Pe = mgh

Substitution

           Pe = (50)(5)(9.81)

Simplification

           Pe = 2452.5 J

What type of energy does the box have after it is done being pulled?
Ksivusya [100]
Assuming that the box is moving when it is being pulled, Work is done on the box.

So work is the Force times the distance

W=Fd

But what is work actually ? When something moves due to force over some change in distance, it have energy.

But where does this energy come from ? Does it magically appear ? The energy comes from the applied force onto the box.

So the energy have been transferred. And it’s like that throughout the universe

Now to save time, I’ll just tell you the answer: kinetic energy
