Answer:

f=600 N

The frictional force will be equal to applied force in order to move cabinet at constant velocity.

Explanation:

According to Newton's Second Law of motion:

∑F=ma

where:

m is the mass

a is the acceleration

In our case Cabinet will move with constant velocity it means acceleration a=0

∑F=0

F-f=0

where:

F is the applied force

f is the frictional force in opposite direction of applied force (F).

600-f=0

f=600 N

The frictional force will be equal to applied force in order to move cabinet at constant velocity.

Give an example of something moving that is not accelerating
Anastaziya [24]
Anything that doesnt have a change in magnitude or direction is something thats not accelerating. so, for example, a car moving at a constant speed of 5mph on a flat road is an example of an object moving but not accelerating

Your electric drill rotates initially at 5.35 rad/s. You slide the speed control and cause the drill to undergo constant angular
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

The  angular displacement  is  \theta  =  29.6 \ rad

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The initial angular speed is  w =  5.35 \ rad/s

      The angular acceleration is  \alpha  =  0.331 rad /s^2

      The time take is  t =  4.81 \ s

Generally the angular displacement is mathematically represented as

          \theta  =  w * t  + \frac{1}{2} \alpha  * t^2

substituting values

         \theta  =  5.35 * 4.81  + \frac{1}{2}  *  0.331  * (4.81)^2

         \theta  =  29.6 \ rad

How high must you lift a 25 Newton book for it to have the same increase in potential energy as a 20 Newton book that was lifted
Annette [7]

Given :

An object with weight 20 N was lifted to 0.5 meters.

To Find :

How high must you lift a 25 Newton book for it to have the same increase in potential energy as the given book.

Solution :

Since both have same potential energy :

P.E_2 = P.E_1\\\\W_2h_2 = W_1h_1

Putting all given values in above equation :

25h_2 = 20\times 0.5\\\\h_2 = \dfrac{20\times 0.5}{25}\\\\h_2 = 0.4\ m

Therefore, book with same potential energy is at a height of 0.4 m.

We are given a piece of copper of mass m=0.82 g to form a cylindrical wire of resistance R=0.87.2. What should be the length / o
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

Length of wire=2.16 m

Diameter of wire=0.232 mm

Explanation:

m= mass of copper wire= 0.82 g

R= Resistance of copper wire= 0.87 ohms

D= Density of copper= 8.96 g/cm^3

ρ= Resistivity= 1.7×10^-8 Ωm

Density=\frac{mass}{volume}\\\Rightarrow volume=\frac{mass}{density}\\\Rightarrow volume=\frac {0.82}{8.96}\\\Rightarrow volume=0.091\ cm^3\\ volume = \pi r^2 l\\\Rightarrow \pi r^2=\frac{volume}{l}\\ \Rightarrow \pi r^2=\frac {0.091}{l}\\

\rho=R\frac{A}{l}\\\Rightarrow 1.7\times 10^{-8}=0.87 \frac{\pi r^2}{l}\\\Rightarrow 1.7\times 10^{-8}=0.87 \frac{0.091\times 10^{-6}}{l^2}\\\Rightarrow l^2=\frac {0.87\times 0.091\times 10^{-6}}{1.7\times 10^{-8}}\\\Rightarrow l^2=0.046\times 10^2\\\Rightarrow length=2.16\ m

\pi r^2=\frac {0.091}{l}\\\Rightarrow r^2=\frac {0.091\times 10^{-6}}{2.16 \pi}\\\Rightarrow r^2=1.34\times 10^{-8}\\\Rightarrow r=0.00011\ m\\\Rightarrow d=0.000232\ m\\\therefore diameter=0.232\ mm
