Answer:

The correct answer is B.bargain in order to obtain the property rights of the gopher habitat.

Explanation:

In economics, the Coase Theorem states that in a market where transaction costs are negligible, a dispute between parties where property rights are involved will lead to a bargaining process where the party that gives the most value to whatever it's in dispute will end up winning rights over that property. In this case, the environmental group assigns great value to protecting the habitat of the Wyoming pocker gopher, but they can only fully secure its well-being by securing property rights over said habitat, and given their standing, they can expect to bargain or negotiate successfully. Any other option, like protesting, boycotting, or lobbying, won't be good enough to achieve their goals.

Answer:

B. bargain in order to obtain the property rights of the gopher habitat

Explanation:

The Coase Theorem expresses that under ideal economic conditions, where there is a contention of property rights, the included parties can negotiate or arrange terms that will precisely mirror the absolute expenses and basic estimations of the property rights at issue. Therefore in this case bargain should be made to obtain property rights of the gopher.

GaryK [48]

Religious literacy is understanding and interpreting the religious texts without any outside help.

Explanation:

Stephen Prothero is one of the leading religious scholars in the US who derives his thought from the tenets of Protestantism as Martin Luther envisioned it.

One of the biggest tenets is for a person to understand and work their own religion. All religious people must know and understand their texts and be able to interpret it by themselves without any outside help being needed.

This is to prevent god men and scholars to take over their religious practices and being able to be professing their religion.

1.What type of legal system did Hammurabi set up?
aleksklad [387]

1. ANSWER: The Code of Hammurabi

Hammurabi set up the "Code of Hammurabi" with 282 laws and where the famous phrase "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" came from. Although this code is actually more complex and less sinister-sounding than the phrase (which is not a direct quote, by the way), this legal system is meant to protect everyone abused, offering just compensation to everyone harmed.

In this system though, the accuser has to be the one to bring the accused to trial.

2. ANSWER: He wants to protect the abused.

Since Hammurabi was ruling a very diverse set of people, he set out to find a set of universal laws to govern everyone. He tapped legal experts to collect previously existing laws and examine them until he formed the Code with 282 laws.

Quoting Hammurabi directly, he said that he set out these laws "to make justice visible in the land, to destroy the wicked person and the evil-doer, that the strong might not injure the weak."

3. ANSWER: The laws influenced future cultures.

The Code of Hammurabi is often attributed as the first set of written laws to be uncovered. Although this may not be the case as there are older laws that were uncovered, being recognized as the first set of written laws often led leaders of future cultures to adopt the system, making these leaders lead the way Hammurabi led.
