Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

As the blood pressure in each of the blood vessels is measured, it can be predicted to be lowest in the capillaries.

Explanation:

Options for this question are:

 • Artery.
 • Arteriole.
 • Capillaries.
 • Venule.
 • Vein.

Once the blood leaves the heart, it is distributed in a network of arterial vessels -arteries and arterioles- that bridge the venules and veins through the capillaries. Blood pressure depends on the pumping strength of the heart and the force that blood produces on the vessel walls. There is a marked difference between arterial and venous pressure. Some conclusions can be drawn from this:

 • Blood pressure is higher the closer the vessel is to the heart.
 • The larger the vessel, the more blood is contained and the more blood pressure is recorded.

Based on this, it can be deduced that the blood vessels with the lowest pressure are the capillaries, with very thin walls and where gas and nutrients or metabolites enter and leave the vessel.

The question gives an answer, but does not explain why.

True or False. Carbohydrates are the only macronutrient to readily yield energy anaerobically.
Anarel [89]

Answer:

True. Carbohydrates readily provide energy anaerobically.

Explanation:

Carbohydrates, proteins and fats all combined provide energy to the body. But whenever our bodies need energy, out of the three carbohydrates are first used to provide it.

Carbohydrates include starch, sugar etc are readily broken down into glucose to fulfil the bodies energy requirements. Blood sugar is one of the most significant energy sources for the body to provide energy to the body at rest or while working. It’s also serves as an energy supply to the brain.

Digestion begins from the mouth. Our bodies release certain enzymes to breakdown food. Then each of our body cells comes in and uses the finished product aerobically or anaerobically into Adenosine triphosphate depending on the need. ATPs are rich in energy and provide fuel to the cells to perform functions.

Describe the events involved all the way to the brain when a person accidentally steps on a nail.
Anit [1.1K]

Answer and Explanation:

Pain receptors are stimulated in the skin generating an impulse. The impulse is conducted by the sensory neuron to the spinal cord. The neuron conveys the impulse to the CNS where it makes synaptic neuron connect with the motor neuron. The motor neuron conveys the impulse to the muscles of the leg. Contraction of the muscle results in withdrawal of the leg from the nail.
