The phrase "you are what you eat" is highly enlightened because food directly affects us, our brain functionality, our immunity system and all other types of functionalities going in our body.

The food we eat can either boost up our immune system or it can suppress it.

e.g intake of vitamin C boosts up our immunity where else excessive alcohol intake destroy our white blood cells.

Nutritionist says that we should increase our intake of fruits , vegetables and organic food as its high in fibre and low in fats and cholesterol which helps in regulating functions and building up of cells. On the other hand, processed food is high in sodium and cholesterol. They contain preservatives and other harmful substances which increases the risk of having cancer and obesity leading to heart disease.

Thus, the food you eat can either become a powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.
