Find the slope of the line through each pair (1,-19),(-2,-7)
2 answers:
Answer: -4
Step-by-step explanation:
Use the slope formula (y2 - y1)/ (x2 - x1) where y2 is the second coordinates y output minus the first coordinates y output and the same for the x inputs
1. Plug the coordinates into the slope formula
(-7 -(-19))/ (-2 - 1)
2. Solve
12/-3
3. Simplify if possible
-4
Hope this was helpful :)
hello i see that no one has answered your question yet well im here to help:)
(1,-19),(-2,-7)
so here one way you can find the slope
i usually always use this to help me to keep it in order
------------------
(X1,Y1)(X2,Y2)
X2-X1
Y2-Y1
use this and your garanteed to get the right answer everytime
------------------
X = -2 – 1 = -3
Y = -7 – -19 = 12
once you do that you divide if possible
12/-3
which gives you -4
so your answer is -4
its really not hard you just got to get use to it
hope it help you:)

Here, you would complete it with the Pythagorean Theorem. So, A^2 + B^2 = C^2 So 14^2 + B^2 = 14^2 This equals = B = 11.49
