Answer:

The author shows that the milk is like life to the boy.

Explanation:

In this metaphor, the author talks about milk, and the feeling that the boy gets when he drinks it. It is clear that the boy was very hungry, as he felt a burning sensation in his stomach. This sensation, which is painful and most likely linked to death, started to die. The disappearance of it, therefore, can be linked to life, which the boy is obtaining from the milk.

Paladinen [302]

Answer:

Sensitive

Explanation:

As indicated in the excerpt, Valerie was a strong-willed woman who stood her ground on matters. So, it was a bit surprising when she became teary as a result of Steven's words. She became sensitive or delicate instead of tough and unmoved which was how she was normally known to be.

A sensitive person easily responds to other's actions. In other words, they are delicate. That was the same attitude portrayed by Valerie in this excerpt.

Which is a difference of between fables and legends
frosja888 [35]

Both fables and legends are literary genres that are used to narrate stories. Fables are fictional stories whose characters are animals, plants or inanimate objects. Legends, on the other hand, are stories perceived or believed to have happened some time in human history and there is certain doubt if it really happened.

Fables are meant to provide a moral lesson at the end whereas legends are meant to provide human values or qualities.

An example of fable is “The Tortoise and the Hare” by Aesop. The main characters are the tortoise and the hare and a moral message is provided at the end.

An example of a legend is Robin Hood. Even though Robin Hood might have existed, the stories about him might not be all real.
