A civil society is a the aggregate of all the units: organisations and institutions, of the society that manifest the will and opinion of the society. A global civil society stresses the global collection of people of all countries. In practice this refers to a great range of activities, including international political and not only political organisations, the engagement of individuals in other countries' affairs, such as the international outrage at gender inequality in India. <span />
