AC^2=AB^2+BC^2\\\\\Rightarrow\ AC^2=(14)^2+(48)^2\\\\\Rightarrow\ AC^2=2500\\\\\Rightarrow\ AC=\sqrt{2500}\\\\\Rightarrow\ AC=50

Hence, the the length of side AC of the triangle = 50 millimeters
