So here is the answer. Normally, 10 people have 20 legs since each person has 2 legs each. But given the scenario that two people don't have legs, this would mean 20 minus 4, is 16 legs. Then one person has 3 legs, 16 plus 3 and it is 19. And then, another person has one leg, 19 plus 1 is 20. Therefore, the total legs would still be 20. Hope this helps. The dog does not count.

elena55 [62]
D = 0.32

d - 8 / 5 = -4d

d - 1.6 = -4d
d + 4d = 1.6
5d = 1.6
d = 0.32

This is an exact question in my math textbook. It should be correct.

The statement p → q represents "If a number is doubled, the result is even.” Which represents the inverse?
diamong [38]
The inverse of p\implies q is \neg p\implies\neg q. (This eliminates B and D)

p\implies q translates to "if p, then q". This means the answer must be A.

According to a study conducted in one city, 25% of adults in the city have credit card debts of more than $2000. A simple ran
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

The sampling distribution of \hat p is <em>N</em> (0.25, 0.0354²).

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Central limit theorem, if from an unknown population large samples of sizes <em>n</em> > 30, are selected and the sample proportion for each sample is computed then the sampling distribution of sample proportion follows a Normal distribution.

The mean of this sampling distribution of sample proportion is:

 \mu_{\hat p}=p

The standard deviation of this sampling distribution of sample proportion is:

 \sigma_{\hat p}=\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}

Let <em>p</em> = proportion of adults in the city having credit card debts of more than $2000.

It is provided that the proportion of adults in the city having credit card debts of more than $2000 is, <em>p</em> = 0.25.

A random sample of size <em>n</em> = 150 is selected from the city.

Since <em>n</em> = 150 > 30 the Central limit theorem can be used to approximate the distribution of <em>p</em> by the Normal distribution.

The mean is:

\mu_{\hat p}=p=0.25

The standard deviation is:

\sigma_{\hat p}=\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}=\sqrt{\frac{0.25(1-0.25)}{150}}=0.0354

Thus, the sampling distribution of \hat p is <em>N</em> (0.25, 0.0354²).

Find the equation for the linear function that passes through the points ( see photo)
Sidana [21]

Answer:

f(x) = (-4/5)*x + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The line which passes through these points will decrease y by 12 for every x increase of 15. This is the same as decreasing y by 4 for every x increase of 5. This means the slope (rise over run) is -4/5. If this is applied to the first point to find what y is at 0, then the point (0, 4) is on the line.

This means that f(x) = (-4/5)*x + 4
