What is the perimeter of parallelogram HIJK? Round to the nearest hundredth.
bixtya [17]

Answer:

Perimeter of the parallelogram = 26.64 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a + b)

Here a = KJ = 7 units.

b = HK

We need to find the HK using the distance formula.

Distance formula = \sqrt{(x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2}

H = (-4, 3) and k = (-2, -3)

Now plug in x1 = -4, y1 =3, x2 = -2, y2 = -3 in the distance formula

HK = \sqrt{(-2 -(-4))^2 + (-3 - 3)^2}

= \sqrt{(-2 +4)^2 + (-6)^2}

= \sqrt{4 + 36}

= \sqrt{40}

HK = b = 6.32 units

Now plug in a = 7 and b = 6.32 in the perimeter formula, we get

Perimeter = 2(7 + 6.32)

= 2(13.32)

= 26.64 units

Thank you.

Help plese.........ooj
Tatiana [17]
The answer is 6. You can find slope by using the slope formula: M= y1 - y2 / x1 - x2. In this case you can choose any two points from the table. I chose the second two points. the equation would then be (7-1) / (2-1). It would then be 6/1 or 6.
Hope this helped(:

Stephon has a square brick patio. He wants to reduce the width by 4 feet and increase the length by 4 feet.
alekssr [168]

Answer:  The expressions for the length and width of the new patio are

\ell=x+4,~~w=x-4.

And the area of the new patio is 384 sq. feet.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that Stephen has a square brick patio. He wants to reduce the width by 4 feet and increase the length by 4 feet.

The length of one side of the square patio is represented by x.

We are to write the expressions for the length and width of the new patio and then to find the area of the new patio if the original patio measures 20 feet by 20 feet.

Since Stephen wants to reduce width of the patio by 4 feet, so the width of the new patio will be

w=(x-4)~\textup{feet}.

The length of the patio is increased by 4 feet, so the length of the new patio will be

\ell=(x+4)~\textup{feet}.

Now, if the original patio measures 20 feet by 20 feet, then we must have

w=x-4=20-4=16~\textup{feet}

and

\ell=x+4=20+4=24~\textup{feet}.

Therefore, the area of the new patio is given by

A_n=\ell \times w=24\times16=384~\textup{sq. feet}.

Thus, the expressions for the length and width of the new patio are

\ell=x+4,~~w=x-4.

And the area of the new patio is 384 sq. feet.

Use following boxes to help yuo solve the multiplication problema use las siguientes casillas
marshall27 [118]
1) 330
2) 172
3) 172
4) 99
5) 142
You place the smaller number or single number on the left side of the box then on top of the box for the first square you would take the first number of your two digit number turn that into a whole number then the second number you would put on top of the second box then just multiply them both separately then add them together.
Example number one: first multiply 5x60 you get 300 for the first box then you multiply 5x6 you get 30 so then you would add the 300 and the 30 to get 330. Hope this helps :)

A music app charges $2 to download the app plus $1.29 per song downloaded wright and solve a linear equation to find the total c
fredd [130]

The linear equation used to solve the problem is t = 2 + 1.29a and total cost to download 30 songs is $ 40.7

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that music app charges $2 to download the app plus $1.29 per song downloaded

To find: write and solve a linear equation to find the total cost to download 30 songs

Let us first write a expression for total cost

Let "a" be the number of songs downloaded

So we can frame a equation as:

total cost = initial charge + cost of 1 song download x number of songs downloaded

total cost = 2 + 1.29 \times a

total cost = 2 + 1.29a

If "t" represents the total cost, then the linear equation is:

t = 2 + 1.29a

<em><u>finding the total cost to download 30 songs:</u></em>

Here a = 30

Substitute a = 30 in above formula

total cost = 2 + 1.29(30)

total cost = 2 + 38.7

total cost = 40.7

Thus total cost to download 30 songs is $ 40.7
