Your answer is incorrect. Below is the corrected response:

To solve this you must use the rules of PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)

First we have parentheses.

8 ÷ 2(2 + 2)

2 + 2 = 4

8 ÷ 2(4)

8 ÷ 2 × 4

Now comes the problematic part, in which many people get confused. Although in the PEMDAS order it shows multiplication before division, you must remember that with multiplication and division you do the operation that comes first when you read from left to right. In this case that would be division first then multiplication. NOTE: This rule also applies when you are dealing with addition and subtraction in the same expression

Division

8 ÷ 2 × 4

8 ÷ 2

4

4 × 4

Now you may multiply...

4 × 4

= 16

Hope this helped!

S=5r^2t solve for T please
Vitek1552 [10]
Hello there!

S = 5r^2 * T
To solve for T, we need to isolate it - or get it on one side of the equation by itself.
To do this, we need to divide both sides by 5r^2.

S/5r^2 = T is now our equation and final solution.

I hope this helps!
