Understanding patterns is important for human development because it allows us humans to make more Educated guesses in life. It allows the human brain to strengthen its logical thinking.

Explanation:

For example: A baby will occasionally learn to roll over or crawl through time. The pattern of doing such things allows the baby to learn more from its actions to make new ones.

When the rock starts rolling down the hill it has kinetic energy. When the rock gets to the bottom of the hill and stops, it is no longer in motion therefore it no longer has kinetic energy, the energy has been converted back into potential energy.
