What is H5N1? What is the concern about H5N1? What is a super virus?
olchik [2.2K]
Known as the Influenza A virus subtype H5N1, or more commonly known as the Avian Flu/Bird Flu, H5N1 is enzootic (maintained within a population) globally in many bird populations. According to recent word from the World Health Organization, as well as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, H5N1 pathogenicity is gradually continuing to rise in endemic areas. However farmed birds are held in check by vaccination, and thus far there is no evidence of sustained human-to-human transmission of the H5N1 virus. The number of worldwide outbreaks being reported are steadily decreasing.

What problems can you identify that would occur if we did not have the technology to help with identifying the age of the Earth?
aliya0001 [1]

Answer:

Earthquakes

Explanation:

This would happen because we have devices such as seismographs to record the motion of the ground during an earthquake. Without that, we wouldn't know how big the earthquake is and how to prepare for survival.

Explain why transboundary environmental threats like pollution are a problem for both parties, even if one community is principa
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

Due to its spreading nature.

Explanation:

Transboundary environmental threats like pollution is a problem for both parties i. e. one that is producing pollution and the other which is not producing it, because pollution can't remain at one place and spread from one part to another part of the earth due to open environment. So due to its spreading, it affected both the producing and non-producing parties.

What do high and low air pressure systems mean in terms of density?
Arada [10]

There are two physical differences between Low pressure systems and High pressure systems.

First, is the circulation surrounding them.

Secondly, is the atmospheric motion that they cause.

Low pressure systems circulate counter-clockwise. High pressure systems circulate clockwise. These "motions" are the building blocks in our atmosphere. They give us our weather.

A Low’s counter-clockwise circulation forces air upward (ultimately resulting in condensation, cloud formation and ultimately precipitation). A High’s clockwise circulation causes a sinking motion in the atmosphere, resulting in fair/clearer and often sunnier skies.
