Hey there!

How are you?

I'm here to help!

The answer to this question is simple, but since you seem to have difficulty with it, I'll help you out here.

A right angle looks like this: |_ Perfect corners.

An obtuse angle looks like this: _/ Sort of like the vertex on a stop sign

An acute angle looks like this: < Like a Pinched angle

And finally, one that doesn't matter in this case, a Straight angle is just a straight line like this: __

So we account for these things for Part A and notice that B is the only one with < & _/ Angles.

So the answer to part A is C. shape B.

Now we learn about Parallel and Perpendicular. Parallel means two lines that never touch, and are line up with each other like this: ║

However, Perpendicular is the opposite. Perpendicular is when lines cross with each other like this: ⊥

Using this knowledge, we can determine the shape isn't a triangle, because a triangle does not have parallel lines.

We can also determine C has no Perpendicular lines.

And finally, D has no perpendicular lines.

However, B does have Perpendicular lines and Parallel lines!

So your answer for part B is also C. shape B.

I really hope this helped and I hope I'm not too late answering.

Your friend in answering,

~Steve

Point-slope form is y - y1 = m (x + x1)

First you need to find m [slope] by subtract y2 and y1 and divide it by the outcome of x2 - x1

13 - (-9) = 22
-2 - 9 = -11
22/-11 = -2

Plug in the first point (as instructed) into the equation.

y - (-9) = -2 (x - 9)

Simplify the beginning.

y + [9] = [-2] (x + [-9])

(The brackets are the fill in the blanks)

Find the equation of a line that goes through the point (1,-1) and is parallel to the line y = -6x + 1
Katena32 [7]

y=-6x+5

the slope needs to stay -6 so the line stays parallel, with the slope going down 6, right 1, the y-int would have to be 5
